Qualifier Sandeepti Singh Rao triumphs at AITA Women’s 1 Lakh Jhajjar as top seed Renne Singla retires in final

Qualifier Sandeepti Singh Rao from Haryana ran through her opponents at the AITA Women’s Rs. 1 Lakh tournament held at Jhajjar, Haryana to lift the singles trophy today.
En route the final, Rao got better of third seed Kaavya Palani in second round, fifth seed P. Paathak in quarters and then the second seed Reshma Maruri in semis before top seed Renne Singla conceded the final after retiring from the match at 3-0 stage in first set.
Rao had earlier played the qualifying round to make the main draw.
Matches were played on clay courts.
The tournament was held at Joygaon Tennis Academy in Jhajjar from 18th to 22nd October with qualifying rounds on 16th and 17th October 2021.
