India's best Junior talent set for AITA U18 National Championship in Chennai

Some of India’s most promising junior tennis players will head to Chennai next month for one of the most prestigious events on the domestic calendar – the MCC – N. Sankar Memorial National Junior U-18 Clay Court Tennis Championship 2026.

Organised by the Tamil Nadu Tennis Association (TNTA) under the aegis of the All India Tennis Association (AITA), the tournament will be held from August 8–15, with the main draw commencing on August 10 at the historic Madras Cricket Club in Chennai.

As one of the premier events on the AITA junior calendar, the National Championships bring together the country’s leading Under-18 boys and girls, all competing for one of the most coveted domestic junior titles. The tournament has long served as a platform for India’s rising stars, with many former champions going on to represent the country on the international stage.

The championship will feature singles and doubles competitions for both boys and girls, with qualifying matches beginning on August 8 before the main draw gets underway. Find more information about the tournament format here.
