ITF to introduce Advance Doubles Entry system by next month
The International Tennis Federation (ITF) will introduce an Advance Entry System for the Doubles competition at the ITF World Tennis Tour Men’s $25,000 and Women’s $25,000, $60,000, $80,000, and $100,000 Tournaments in August 2021.
However, the exact date of introducing this new system is yet to be confirmed.
This proposal came through the Men’s and Women’s ITF Player Panel members and also follows approval by the ITF World Tennis Tour Committee.
This new development on the ITF professional Tours for Men and Women will allow teams to enter the tournament in advance, as opposed to only signing in onsite and will allow players to plan their schedules more effectively and at less cost, as well as professionalising the entry system for Doubles entries.
