Vaishnavi Adkar and Aditya Nandal win ITF J5 Guwahati

Indian juniors Vaishnavi Adkar and Aditya Nandal won their singles finals against Ruma Gaikaiwari and Yuvan Nandal, respectively, to emerge champions in the singles category of the ITF J5 Guwahati event held from 15th to 20th November 2021 in Guwahati, Assam.
Adkar won her match in straight sets 6-2, 6-1 while Nandal was stretched to three sets 6-4, 7-6 (3), 6-4 before claiming the title.
In the doubles category, Ruma Gaikaiwari made up for her singles final loss when she and her partner Riya Sachdeva defeated Kristi Boro and Aarni Reddy Yellu 6-7 (3), 6-3, 11-9 to take home the Girls’ doubles trophy. Among the boys, it was a battle of the top two seeded pairs where top seeds Yuvan Nandal and Saheb Sodhi defeated Bushan Haobam and Nikhil Mukherjee 6-1, 6-3 to emerge champions in doubles.
