Country-wide Women’s Day activation announced by AITA
Every year 8th of March is celebrated as Women’s Day world over. In a bid to celebrate Women’s Day in Tennis and to encourage Women to pursue and enjoy the sport of Tennis in India, the All India Tennis Association (AITA) has encouraged the State Associations to celebrate this important day with zeal and fervour by organising various events and activities to mark the occasion.
The AITA recommends that State Associations through their Clubs, District Associations and Affiliated Units should organise tournaments, workshops, local fun events and activities exclusively for women.
All the events and activities conducted by the State Associations on this Women’s Day shall be documented in the forms of pictures, videos, reports, etc., and the same will be displayed on AITA website and social media pages.
By celebrating and conducting Tennis related activities for women, the AITA aims to reach as many female amateurs and club level women players as possible, and also help us in popularising Tennis among women and make it more inclusive for young girls and women.
The participants may send the Images, Videos and Reports/Results of the women exclusive events and tournaments via email to AITA office on aita@aitatennis.com
