AITA to host Seven ITF Pro events in first quarter of 2022

The All India Tennis Association (AITA) announces seven ITF World Tennis Tour events, carrying total prize money of $115,000, scheduled to be held in February and March in India.

The events will be held at seven cities – Jhajjar, Gurugram, Ahmedabad, Nagpur, New Delhi, Bhopal and Bengaluru, in that order, with first four events being Women’s and the last three for Men.

As per the schedule approved by the International Tennis Federation (ITF) for the first quarter of 2022, the Indian swing of seven tournaments begins on 7^th February at Jhajjar with a Women’s $15,000 tournament. This will be followed by two more Women’s $15,000 tournaments in Gurugram (week of 14^th Feb) and Ahmedabad (21^st Feb onward). Nagpur city, in Maharashtra, will be the fourth and final Women’s tournament host on the schedule with a prize purse of $25,000 and it will be held in the week of 28^th February.

In the same week, Men’s events will begin with New Delhi being the first stop of the Men’s tournaments calendar. From 7^th March onward, Bhopal will be the host city while the final tournament of the Indian leg will be held at Bengaluru from 14^th March.

All of the Men’s tournaments carry equal prize purse of $15,000.
