Korea had the Last laugh, Host India got the 5th position

Korea pulled off a great victory against Japan and grab the title of the most deserving team in the tournament after the Korean boys guide their nation to a 2-1 triumph over Japan in ITF World Junior Tennis Competition Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying 2022, here in R.K. Khanna Tennis Stadium, New Delhi, on Saturday 30th April. The host India ended the tournament on a good note and grab the 5th position after their convincing victory over Indonesia 2-1.
India’s Arnav Paparkar continued his sublime touch till the very last day of the tournament. Today, he won the first singles with a comprehensive margin against Muhammad Urwah 6-2 6-4. It had been five out of six times in the week for India when Arnav won the singles with absolute authority and put India on top.
Once again Tanussh Ghildyal could not get past the opposition’s challenge in the second singles. He lost the match in two straight sets 4-6 0-6 (8-10). But then it was the indomitable Arnav in a pair with Aditya Mor won the decisive doubles 6-2 6-1 to justify the 5th position in the tournament.
On the other hand, Kazakhstan convincingly beat Thailand and got the third position in the tournament.
