Competitive tennis resumes in Karnataka from today
Bengaluru, Aug 8:With the second wave of Covid receding, competitive tennis will resume in Karnataka with the AITA TS 3 U-12 tennis tournament that kicks off at the KSLTA courts here from Monday. As many as three other tournaments in as many weeks are lined up for the month of August.
The tournaments will be conducted under strict Covid protocols to safeguard the interests of players, parents, coaches and officials and will be played over three days only with a maximum of 32 players. The tournaments to be held from September will see the participation of players from across the country.
The ensuing AITA TS 3 event is a part of the Tattvam Junior Tour will be a draw of 32 with Ruhan Komandur and Aahida Singh given the top billing in the boys and girls categories respectively. Yashas Raj M, Anirudh Palanisamy and Dhanush Mahesha are seeded No.2, 3 and 4 respectively amongst the boys while Theertha AN, Ritisha Choudhary and Sri Aksha Penumesta are ranked No. 2, 3 and 4 respectively amongst the girls.
