Inauguration of WJTC Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying -2022

The World Junior Tennis (Girls U14) Asia/Oceania Final Qualifying 2022 got off to a flying start on 17th April 2022, Sunday here at the R.K.Khanna Tennis Stadium, DLTA with an impressive opening ceremony that was presided over by Mr. Om Pathak, administrator, Delhi Gymkhana Club.
The teams from fourteen countries are competing in this event, which means another week of excellent Tennis from all over the court.
Host India finds themselves in the group – C, where they will compete against the top seed Korea, Hong Kong, and Singapore in the group league matches. The captain of team India Ms. Namita Bal is very much hopeful regarding their performance and she expressed that the girls will display some top quality tennis and will fight till the end.
After the thrilling performance of the U16 boys last week in the Junior Davis Cup, a lot of expectations have already been created with the current team.
The Groups:
Group A: Australia, Sri Lanka & Lebanon
Group B: Japan, Malaysia & Thailand
Group C: Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore & India
Group D: Uzbekistan, Iran, Nepal, & Kazakhstan
