Staggering Sahaja ends the tournament on top, Ankita/Priska duo had the last laugh in Doubles

Sahaja Yamalapalli continued her excellent run till the very last day of the tournament and emerged as champion conquering fourth seed Viktoria Morvayova 6-3 7-6 (5) in the Singles final at The Tennis Project, ITF $25k Tennis Tournament in Gurgaon, on Sunday 3rd July
Sahaja started the tournament with a dominant win over last tournament’s champion top seed Karman Kaur Thandi in the first round and kept delivering fabulously almost against all the better-ranked players on her way to lift the title, including another top seed Sowjanya Bavisetti in the 2nd round.
In the title clash, Sahaja stunned third seed V. Morvayova and clinched the 2nd singles title of the year after ITF $15k tournament in March.
In the Doubles final, the country’s no 1 Ankita Raina in a partnership with Priska Nugroho Defeated Japanese pair Misaki Matsuda/Momoko Kobori 3-6 6-0 (10-6) and justified the title.
