Dr Anil Jain
President

Dr Anil Jain, Member of Parliament, Rajya Sabha, was elected President of the AITA on 6 September 2020.  Earlier, he served AITA as Vice President from period 2017 to 2020.

He was the former National General Secretary of Bhartiya Janta Party and has held the post of National President of Bharat Scouts and Guides, India (with 6 million members) since 2016. He is also a Trustee in BhauRao Deoras Sewa Nyas, India (An Education and Health Trust). Dr Jain is a practising medical doctor who secured his MBBS and MS from K.G. Medical College, Lucknow and is attached as Sr. Consultant Surgeon (Laproscopic and G.I.Surgery) with Apollo Hospital, Delhi.

During his tenure as President AITA, he has placed strong emphasis on creating more and better tennis infrastructure, improving training facilities and conducting more and better tournaments. Emerging out of the covid pandemic, AITA has made significant progress and notable achievements of AITA include putting in place a National Tennis Centre of excellence, restoration of the strong AITA domestic circuit post pandemic, conduct of a highly successful Davis Cup tie in Delhi against Denmark, giving strength to AITA’s Coaches Education program and launch of two new Tennis Stadia in Odisha and Uttar Pradesh.

As President AITA, he seeks to actively support all efforts to deliver the best experiences for all crucial stakeholders, while prioritising good governance, fairness, gender equality, and ethical standards.

Dr. Anil Jain, President All India Tennis Association, visited the ATF Office and welcomed ATF President Kitsombat Euammongkol, while extending continued support to his vision and work of the Asian Tennis Federation. The AITA family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the President Euammongkol for his time, insights and unwavering support and appreciates his participation and inputs which focused on shaping the future of tennis in Asia with a strong emphasis on grassroots development, player training, and infrastructural enhancements.
