Purav Raja
Purav Raja in partnership with Rameez Junaid of Australia won the doubles title in the $75,000 Challenger tennis tournament in Istanbul, Turkey, with a 7-6(4), 4-6, 10-7 victory over second seeds Timur Khabibulin of Kazakhstan and Vladyslav Manafov of Ukraine.
The title was worth 90 ATP points and $4,650. The runners-up collected 55 points and $2,700.
It was the first title of the season for the 32-year-old Purav, and his 14th Challenger title.
Purav Raja in partnership with Ken Skupski of Britain fought his way into the doubles semifinals of the ATP Tour event in Atlanta, as the duo beat Taylor Fritz and Cameron Norrie 3-6, 6-1, 11-9.
In the ATP event in Gstaad, Switzerland, Sriram Balaji and VishnuVardhan went down fighting 9-11 in the super tie-break in the pre-quarterfinals on the red clay. Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan with Austin Krajicek of the US also hit a rough patch and crashed out early.
