Statement of AITA on CLTA Case

There have been many concerns expressed in the media and amongst the members of the tennis fraternity in India regarding the recent allegations of misconduct and age-related complaints against some junior players of an Academy run by the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association.

The AITA is fully seized of the developments in connection with the allegations and the police/legal cases filed against these players. AITA has already sought a clarification of the factual position on this matter from the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association. However, since this case involves juveniles and is currently sub-judice, the AITA wishes to reserve its comments and actions on this matter at this stage. The AITA also undertakes to take the strongest action against Players, Officials or Administrators who are found guilty by the Honourable Court of Law.
