Prajnesh Gunneswaran loses second round
Prajnesh Gunneswaran was beaten 6-4, 7-6(4) by Taro Daniel of Japan in the second round of the $162,480 Challenger tennis tournament in Bendigo, Australia, on Tuesday.
The 122nd ranked Prajnesh collected five ATP points and $1,560.
In the $25,000 ITF women’s event in Bendigo, Ankita Raina won 6-1, 7-5 against Martina Di Giuseppe of Italy. She will play Irina Falconi of the US in the pre-quarterfinals.
In the ATP Tour event in Doha, Divij Sharan in partnership with Artem Sitak of New Zealand was beaten 7-6(4), 6-2 by the fourth seeds Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin of France in the doubles pre-quarterfinals.
