Akanksha NItture knocks out top seed to make main draw
Akanksha NItture outplayed top seed Karina Rizvanoa of Kazakhstan 6-2, 6-0 to make the girls main draw of the ITF grade-3 junior tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex on Sunday.
Yuvan Nandal got a second chance, as he made the main draw as a lucky loser. He will play fourth seed Raphael Collignon of Belgium.
Karan Singh will challenge the sixth seed Bohua Dong of China.
In the girls event, Sandeepti Singh Rao has been seeded seventh. She is the only Indian player to have seeding in the tournament.
