Mukund and Vijay Sundar Prashanth lose doubles semifinals
Sasi Kumar Mukund in partnership with Vijay Sundar Prashanth was beaten 6-7(3), 6-3, 11-9 by Andre Begemann and Daniel Masur of Germany in the doubles semifinals of the Challenger tennis tournament in Maia, Portugal, on Friday.
The Indian pair had earlier shocked the third seeds Luca Margaroli and Andrea Vavassori 11-9 in the super tie-break.
The good run in doubles meant that Mukund was delayed in joining the team mates for the Davis Cup tie against Pakistan to be held in Nur Sultan.
