Kunal Anand qualifies and seeded No.1

Kunal Anand outplayed Gourav Gulia 6-1, 6-1 in the third and final qualifying round of the Rs.250,000 AITA men’s ranking tennis tournament at the Harvest Tennis Academy, Jassowal, on Sunday.

Two rounds in the qualifying event after a bye in the first, was a good warm up for Kunal who was given the top seeding in the main draw.

Some of the national champions Mohit Mayur and Dalwinder Singh figure in the draw, along with the good players like Ishaque Eqbal, Suraj Prabodh, Jatin Dahiya etc.

Dalwinder will open against fellow trainee at the academy, Hardeep Singh Sandhu.
