Sumit Nagal in second qualifying round of US Open

Davis Cupper Sumit Nagal beat Tatsuma Ito of Japan 7-6(6), 6-2 to make the second qualifying round of the US Open in New York.

In the second round, Sumit will play Peter Polansky of Canada.

Ankita Raina had earlier made the second round of the women’s qualifying event, while Ramkumar Ramanathan had bowed out.
