Ayushmaan Arjeria has a winning start in Wimbledon
Ayushmaan Arjeria provided the lone sparkle for India on a rain-hit day on the grass courts of Wimbledon, as he won the group-F league match against Jake Evans 7-6(6), 6-3 in the Road to Wimbledon UK under-14 tennis championship on Monday.
In the girls event, Anjali Rathi lost in the match tie-break after turning the match around in the second set, against Mille Day.
The other two players, Veda Raju Prapurna and Bushan Haobam were up against strong players, and thus could win only a handful of games.
The team has former Davis Cupper Vishaal Uppal as the coach.

Boys: Group-F: Ayushmaan Arjeria bt Jake Evans 7-6(6), 6-3.
Group-H: Anthony Wright bt Bushan Haobam 6-3, 6-2.
Girls: Group-A: Talia Neilson-Gatenby bt Veda Raju Prapurna 6-3, 6-3.
Group-E: Mille Day bt Anjai Rathi 6-3, 6-7(4), [1-0].
