Vaidehi Chaudhari sets up semifinals with Sai Samhitha in Asian ranking tennis

Wild card Vaidehi Chaudhari showed her fire power in her game as she beat Nidhi Chilumula 6-4, 7-5 in the quarterfinals of the $3,000 FinIQ Asian ranking tennis tournament organised by Navnath Shete Sports Academy at the Metrocity Courts in Pune on Friday.

In the semifinals, Vaidehi will face Sai Samhitha who outplayed Riya Uboveja for the loss of one game.

The other semifinal will be between Soha Sadiq and Prathiba Narayan Prasad, who beat Vanshita Pathaniya and Bela Tamhankar respectively.

The results (quarterfinals): Sai Samhitha bt Riya Uboveja 6-1, 6-0; Vaidehi Chaudhari bt NIdhi Chilumula 6-4, 7-5; Soha Sadiq bt Vanshita Pathaniya 6-3, 7-5; Prathiba Narayan Prasad bt Bela Tamhankar 6-3, 6-1.
