Nikita Vishwase in semifinals of ITF juniors
Nikita Vishwase emerged the sole Indian in the semifinals, as she blanked Melissa Boyden of the Netherlands 6-0, 6-0 in the girls section of the ITF grade-3 junior tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex on Thursday.
Sandeepti Singh Rao who had beaten the top seed in the first round was beaten in three sets by qualifier Malaika Rapolu of the US.
In the boys section, top seed Sacchitt Sharma, fourth seed Dev Javia and Madhwin Kamath were beaten in the quarterfinals by players from Belgium, Israel and Philippines respectively.

Boys (quarterfinals): Raphael Collignon (BEL) bt Sacchitt Sharma 7-6(4), 6-3; Michael Francis Eala (PHI) bt Madhwin Kamath 7-5, 4-6, 6-3; Roi Ginat (ISR) bt Dev Javia 6-1, 7-6(4).
Doubles (semifinals): Han Chih Lin (TPE) & Xiaofei Wang (CHN) bt Laaroussi Lalami (MAR) & Sacchitt Sharma 6-4, 6-3; Roi Ginat & Sahar Simon (ISR) bt NIshant Dabas & Kabir Hans 6-4, 6-3.
Girls (quarterfinals): Malaika Rapolu (USA) bt Sandeepti Singh Rao 3-6, 6-4, 6-1; Nikita Vishwase bt Melissa (NED) 6-0, 6-0.
Doubles (semifinals): Lunda Kumhom (THA) & Yu Yun Li (TPE) bt Priyanshi Bhandari & Rutuja Chaphalkar (USA) 6-3, 6-2.
