Ankita Raina sails into second round in Oasis Solapur Open $25K tennis
Second seed Ankita Raina made light work of beating Jaqueline Adina Cristian of Romania 6-3, 6-1, after stumbling to an erratic start, in the first round of the Oasis Solapur Open $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament on Tuesday.
In the pre-quarterfinals, Ankita will play Marina Melnikova of Russia.
Pranjala Yadlapalli retired after the first set against Miyabi Inoue of Japan. It has been a hectic but successful season for Pranjala who had competed in the Australian Open wild card play-off last week in Zhuhai, China.
