Sai samhitha wins with and against Humera shaik

Top seed Sai Samhitha won a double crown as she beat second seed and her doubles partner Humera Shaik 7-6(5), 6-2 in the women’s final of the Rs.300,000 Tribune Cup AITA ranking tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex on Friday.

Sai and Humera beat Sai Deedeepya and Kaavya Sawhney for the loss of five games for the doubles title.

In the men’s section, sixth seed Kunal Anand beat top seed Suraj Prabodh 6-3, 6-4 for the title.

Men: Kunal Anand bt Suraj Prabodh 6-3, 6-4.
Doubles: Mohit Mayur & Sahil Gaware bt Ishaque Eqbal & Mohammed Fahad 6-3, 6-1.

Women: Sai Samhitha bt Humera Shaik 7-6(5), 6-2.
Doubles: Sai Samhitha & Humera Shaik bt Sai Dedeepya & Kaavya Sawhney 6-4, 6-1.
