Top Players jump into the race for under-16 and under-14 events in National Tennis

The presence of Divesh Gahlot, Sushant Dabas, Ajay Malik, Dhruv Tangri and Udit Gogoi should make it a lively contest in the under-16 boys event of the Fenesta National sub-junior tennis championship at the DLTA Complex from Monday.

Most of the players have already been in competition in the under-18 and men’s events last week. It is the desire to make the national team for the Junior Davis Cup that drives some of them to compete in the lower age group.

Top seed Divesh Gahlot will open with a strong opponent Sammr Raina. There will be many good players seeking to show case their talent. Chirag Duhan, Krish Patel, Aryaan Bhatia, Aaryan Pandit, Uddayvir Singh, Denim Yadav will be some of the other prominent players in the under-16 boys event.

Udit Gogoi and Chirag Duhan will compete in the under-14 age group as well, along with a bunch of other talented players including second seed Aman Dahiya.

Bhakti Parwan, who is playing quite an improved sharp game, will be the top seed in the girls under-16 section. There will be many players like Sanya Singh, Bhakti Shah, Sunskrithi Damera, Renee Singh, Sudipta Senthilkumar, Rutuja Chaphalkar, Sanjana Sirimalla, Renne Singla and Gargi Pawar out to assert their game in their pursuit for the trophy.

Vaishnavi Adkar will be the top seed in the girls under-14 event, followed by Renee Singh, Pari Singh, Renne Singla, Yana Dhamija etc.

Overall, it should be another week of exciting action in the National championship.
