SUSHANT AND SUDIPTA TRIUMPH IN NATIONAL SUB-JUNIOR TENNIS

Sushant Dabas tamed Divesh Gahlot 6-1, 6-3 in the boys final of the Ramesh Desai memorial National sub-junior tennis tournament at the CCI Complex in Mumbai.

It was not a surprise as the Haryana lad has been playing good tennis, in recent times. Even when he lost to the eventual champion Nishant Dabas early in the Road to Japan event the previous week in Delhi, Sushant had looked good and was only troubled by his own unsure temperament.

The girls title went to Sudipta Senthilkumar who fought past Sandeepti Singh Rao 7-5, 7-6(3). Sudipta had lost tin the semifinals the previous week, but was able to put together a consistently good game to get past quality players along the way for the national title.

Boys: Sushant Dabas bt Divesh Gahlot 6-1, 6-3.

Girls: Sudipta Senthilkumar bt Sandeepti Singh Rao 7-5, 7-6(3).
