Siddhant Banthia in final of Asian junior tennis
Siddhant Banthia got past top seed Dostanbek Tashbulatov of Kazakhstan in the boys semifinals of the HCL Asian junior tennis championship in Pune on Friday.
Banthia led 6-2, 4-2 when his opponent retired. In the final, Banthia will play Sergey Fomin of Uzbekistan.
In the boys doubles, Dev Javia and Mann Shah were beaen in straight sets by Christian Didier Chin and Sergey Fomin.

Girls (semifinals): Mananchaya Sawangkaew (Tha) bt Hong Yi Cody Wong (Hkg) 7-6(4), 6-2; Priska Madelyn Nugroho (Ina) bt Mai Napatt Nirundorn (Tha) 2-6, 6-3, 6-0.
Doubles (final): HimariSato (Jpn) & Mananchaya Sawangkaew (Tha) bt Saki Imamura (Jpn) & Punnin Kovapitukted (Tha) 7-5, 6-3.
