Sacchitt fights his way into the quarterfinals
Top seed Sacchitt Sharma had to fight it out 6-3, 6-7(3), 6-2 against qualifier Adit Sinha of the US in the pre-quarterfinals of the ITF grade-3 junior tennis tournament at the CLTA Complex here on Wednesday.
Sacchitt was joined in the quarterfinals by Madhwin Kamath and Dev Javia among the Indian players.
In the girls section, Sandeepti Singh Rao, who had beaten the top seed sustained her good work, to make the quarterfinals, with a 6-1, 6-1 win over compatriot Farhat Aleen Qamar. Nikita Vishwase was the only other Indian girl to make the quarterfinals.
