Ramkumar Ramanathan loses doubles final with Kwon Soonwoo in Surbiton
The top seeds Marcel Granollers and Ben Mclachlan stopped the fine run of Ramkumar Ramanathan with his partner Kwon Soonwoo of Korea, with a 4-6, 6-3, 10-2 victory in the doubles final of the €137,560 Challenger tennis tournament on grass in Surbiton, England, on Sunday.
The champion team collected 125 ATP points and €7,870, while Ramkumar and partner had to be content with 75 points and €4,570.
Meanwhile, in the $250,000 WTA event in Nottingham, Ankita Raina went down fighting in three sets in the second and final qualifying round to Ellen Perez of Australia. Ankita collected 12 WTA pointsa nd $1020.
