Prarthana Thombare tumbles in WTA event in Germany

Prarthana Thombare in partnership with Alena Fomina of Russia was beaten 6-1, 6-4 by Mona Barthel and Anna-Lena Friedsam of Germany in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the € 250,000 WTA tennis tournament in Nurnberg, Germany, on Monday.

Ranked 153 in doubles, Prarthana had made the doubles semifinals with Anna Danilina of Kazakhstan in the $60,000 ITF event in Saint-Gaudens, France, last week.
