Mahak Jain goes down fighting in $25,000 tennis in Pune
National champion Mahak Jain went down fighting against top seed Jia-Jing Lu of China who prevailed 6-3, 7-5 in the pre-quarterfinals of the NECC $25,000 ITF women’s tennis tournament at the Deccan Gymkhana in Pune on Wednesday.
The 17-year-old Mahak was the only Indian player to progress into the second round, in the absence of the two leading players Ankita Raina and Karman Kaur Thandi.
