Jeevan and Purav to meet Leander Paes and Marcus Daniell in semifinals
Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan and Purav Raja made the doubles semifinals with a 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 victory over Sander Arends and David Pel of the Netherlands in the €137,560 Challenger tennis tournament in Ilkely, England, on Thursday.
In the semifinals, the Indian pair will take on second seeds, Leander Paes in partnership with Marcus Daniell of New Zealand, who won 10-7 in the super tie-break against the Aussies, Matt Reid and John-Patrick Smith.
In the ITF women’s event in Portugal, Rutuja Bhosale lost the singles second round, and gave a walkover in doubles owing to a should injury.
