Divij Sharan and Artem Sitak beat fourth seeds in Paris

Divij Sharan in partnership with Artem Sitak of New Zealand beat the fourth seeds Mate Pavic of Croatia and Bruno Soares of Brazil 6-7(5), 6-3, 10-3 in the doubles pre-quarterfinals of the €5,791,280 ATP-1000 tennis tournament in Paris on Tuesday.

The Indo-Kiwi combination had made the main draw as alternates. The duo will play Jeremy Chardy and Fabrice Martin of France in the pre-quarterfinals.

In the Challenger in China, Jeevan Nedunchezhiyan in partnership with Adil Shamasdin of Canada made the doubles quarterfinals, past a Chinese team.

In the $60,000 ITF women’s event in China, Ankita Raina made the doubles quarterfinals as the second seed with Rosalie van der Hoek of the Netherlands.
