Chandni Srinivasan wins double crown in Asian under-14 tennis

Chandni Srinivasan won both the girls singles and doubles titles in the Asian under-14 tennis tournament played at the Ahmedabad City Tennis Foundation on Friday.

Chandni beat Josita Premkuamr 6-4, 6-3 for the singles, and joined with Raja Sarvagnya Kilaru to clinch the doubles title with a 3-6, 6-3, 10-8 victory over Saumya Ronde and Namrata Das.

The results (finals):

Boys: Rethin Pranav Senthilkumar bt Yagna Patel 7-6(4), 6-0.

Doubles: Jigyashman Hazarika & Samprit Sharma bt Viraj Gohil & Bharat Phulwaria 5-7, 6-4, [10-8].

Girls: Chandni Srinivasan bt Josita Premkumar 6-4, 6-3.

Doubles: Chandni Srinivasan & Raja Sarvagnya Kilaru bt Saumya Ronde & Namrata Das 3-6, 6-3, [10-8].
