Bopanna and Benoit Paire lose final qualifying in Washington
Top seed Rohan Bopanna in partnership with Benoit Paire of France was beaten 2-6, 6-3, 10-7 by the second seeds Matthew Ebden and Nicholas Monroe in the second and final qualifying round of the $2,046,340 ATP-500 tennis tournament in Washington, US.
Meanwhile, Leander Paes has managed to gain a wild card in the main draw with Jack Sock of the US.
In the Challenger in China, Arjun Kadhe fought back from a bad start to beat Blake Ellis of Australia 1-6, 6-3, 7-6(4) in the first round.
