Arpit Sharma scores a memorable win in Cameroon

Arpit Sharma overcame a bad start and bounced back from the brink of defeat to beat Domen Gonstincar of Slovenia 0-6, 7-6(8), 7-6(3) in the first round of the $25,000 ITF men’s Futures tennis tournament in Cameroon on Monday.

In the ITF women’s event in Hua Hin, Ashmitha Easwaramurthi overcame a tough start to beat Anastasia Suhotina of Russia in the third set tie-break. Ashmitha also made the doubles quarterfinals with Yu-Ting Hsieh of Chinese Taipei.
