Ankita Raina reaches doubles quarterfinals in $125K event
Ankita Raina was beaten 7-6(1), 6-1 by Vitalia Diatchenko of Russia, but made the doubles quarterfinals with Bibiane Schoofs of the Nethelrands in the $125,000 WTA tennis tournament in Chinese Taipei on Wednesday.
Ankita and her partner beat Susan Bandecchi of Switzerland and Sarah-Rebecca Sekulic of Germany 6-4, 7-6(4).
In the ITF men’s Futures in Mozambique, Jatin Dahiya went down in three sets to the top seed Benjamin Lock, but Rishab Agarwal and SD Prajwal Dev moved into the second round.
