Ankita Raina’s impressive run continues in Thailand

Raina/Van Der Hoek beat Chinese duo Xun/Zheng in straight sets to enter semis 

India’s Ankita Raina and her Dutch partner Rosalie Van Der Hoek are through to the semi-finals of the WTA Thailand Open 2020 as they defeated the Chinese pair Fang Ying Xun and Saisai Zheng 7-6, 6-4 in Hua Hin on Thursday.

Raina, ranked 156^th in doubles on the WTA, has been on song in Thailand as she tasted success in Nonthaburi with one ITF $25,000 women’s singles title and two ITF $25,000 women’s doubles titles in the past couple of weeks.

At the WTA Thailand Open, the Indo-Dutch duo of Raina and Van Der Hoek will be up against the Australian fourth seeds Arina Rodionova (ranked 85^th in doubles) and Storm Sanders (99^th) in the semi-finals at Hua Hin, Thailand.
