Aditya Khanna wins ITF grade-2 seniors title in Chonburi

Aditya Khanna led 6-1, 4-2 when Daniel Vijay Anand retired in the over-35 final of the ITF grade-2 seniors tennis tournament at the Greta Sports Club in Chonburi, Thailand, on Thursday.

Aditya had earlier finished runner-up in doubles with his brother Ashish Khanna.

It was the second singles title this season for Aditya at the same venue.

In the over-40 final, Krishna Kumar beat compatriot Swarandeep Singh Dhodi 6-1, 7-5.

In the over-55 final, the 1054th ranked Chandra Bhushan was beaten 6-3, 6-3 by the 70th ranked top seed Markus Zinkand of Germany.

Over-35: Aditya Khanna bt Daniel Vijay Anand 6-1, 4-2 (retired).

Over-40: Krishna Kumar bt Swarandeep Singh Dhodi 6-1, 7-5.

Over-55: Markus Zinkand (GER) bt Chandra Bhushan 6-3, 6-3.
